- Why should I sell my work with Latitudes?
- Latitudes markets your work to a large international network of buyers, from upscale homeowners to collectors, interior designers and trade professionals. We use SEO, social media, email marketing, advertising, custom order enquiries and other means to connect you with buyers. We also provide e-commerce functionality for instant purchases.
- What kinds of artworks can I sell?
- Latitudes features unique artworks as well as editions by artists from Africa and the diaspora. If your works fall into this category, we encourage you to apply for a profile on Latitudes.
- How often can I change the artworks on my profile?
- We encourage you to regularly update your profile, and change artworks as soon as they are sold or you have new works you would like to sell.
- How do I handle shipping?
- When you list items with Latitudes Online you are able to enter your own shipping prices. When a work is sold you will receive this amount in addition to the item price you submit. Please consider packaging, shipping and insurance costs when submitting your shipping price. In the event an item requires special crating, you can enter R0 for shipping and include a note in the product description that shipping is NOT included. In this case, buyers can contact Latitudes directly for accurate shipping quotes.
- Can I cancel my account and remove my items?
- Yes, there is no commitment. You can cancel entirely, but all pending orders and enquiries are subject to the payment method in force at the time they were made. Simply email info@latitudesartfair.com with any questions or to cancel your profile.
- How do I change my items description, pricing or images?
- Log into your account and click “Edit a Product” to make changes to your works. If you are having any issues, email us on info@latitudesartfair.com.
- When do I get paid for my items?
- All orders transacted through the Latitudes Online site are paid upon successful completion of an order. You will receive an email immediately upon receipt of an order with detailed payment and shipping instructions.
- How am I paid for my items?
- When you sell an artwork, you will receive the order and shipping instructions via email. We will then ask you to invoice Latitudes for the amount payable, and we will pay you within 14 days.
- What happens if I sell my item somewhere else?
- Congratulations on your sale! Please be sure to remove the work from your Latitudes profile so that we aren’t marketing an item to our customers that is no longer available.
- I am having trouble submitting my items, can you help?
- The problem is usually due to the images. Please try re-saving them into smaller files. Also please try logging out of Latitudes Online, closing all browser windows and then logging in again directly from our Home Page. If that doesn’t work, email us on info@latitudes.online and we will help.
- What are your image quality guidelines?
- Images are so important when displaying your work online. The goal of your images should be to display the best possible views of your work to a potential buyer. We allow a maximum size of 2MB per image and JPG’s in RGB at 1,000 x 1,000 pixels are best.
