The gallery opened in 2011, predominantly focusing on contemporary artists from the greater Cape Town metropolitan area. Over the years the ‘curatorial curiosity’ expanded beyond the borders of South Africa. An exciting exhibition schedule mirrors this development, showcasing fine art from across the African continent. In 2015 the idea to redefine the concept of ‘Pan Africanism’ within a fine art context, was born. ‘Pan Africa’ has developed into an ongoing project with several large group exhibitions, including emerging and established African artists from all walks of life and cultural backgrounds. The gallery presents a series of solo exhibitions throughout the year that run parallel with the group shows, spread over three exhibition spaces. The online platform showcases contemporary art from the African continent, facilitates global access to curated, virtual exhibitions. It incorporates a fully fledged e-commerce storefront, supported by a personal and professional back-end service.
