XOXO comprises a 1 meter by 1 meter 'O' created from decommissioned, shredded South African R50 banknotes (obtained with kind permission from the Head of the Currency & Integrity Division at the South African Reserve Bank).
The work is available in an edition size of 3.
The material holds great potential for metaphor in our country right now and interrogates matters of wealth and waste, poverty and want, and recycling as a positive intervention for both society and the environment.
