This work is part of an ongoing body of work called Di Thlogo (translated as Head), that deals with protection and African spirituality. The tiny marks drawn on the collage represent skin scarification marks done onto human skin in order to give the person undergoing this procedure healing and protective powers against any dark spirits. All work under this series are handcrafted.
