Bubu Ogisi and Mbali Dhlamini
Bubu Ogisi and Mbali Dhlamini are multidisciplinary African artists whose practices explore materiality, decolonization, and indigenous knowledge systems. Ogisi, a Lagos-born fibre artist and Creative Director of I.AM.ISIGO, creates gravity-defying textile works that challenge Eurocentric design norms. Dhlamini, a visual researcher from South Africa, investigates African identity through visual, tactile, and linguistic forms, reworking colonial imagery to reveal cultural resilience and indigenous philosophies.
