To help you make the most of your listings, our experienced platform specialists and curators have put together a few valuable tips designed to boost visibility and increase your chances of making a sale. Latitudes is designed to help you grow your visibility and sales. Our data shows that the most active exhibitors receive the most views and enquiries.Here are some practical tips to help you make the most of your experience:
- Regularly upload artworks onto your profile (atleast 3 works or more monthly or over 2 months)
- Keep your profile fresh and updated, recently uploaded works are reviewed for possible inclusion in:
- Our weekly newsletter
- Social media features
- Homepage spotlights
- The curated selection collection on the landing page
Use the Online Shows Feature
One of the best ways to boost engagement is through our Shows feature. Shows are frequently promoted in newsletters and across social media, offering a high-visibility opportunity to spotlight your work.
- For Galleries/Organizations: Align your uploads with your annual show calendar. Add 10–20 artworks per show, and include works from your inventory that could benefit from online visibility.
- For Artists/Curators: Consider curating a body of work in the Shows section to showcase your practice in a focused, engaging way.
Latitudes In-House Projects
We often curate from artworks already listed on our site for special projects, including:
- The Latitudes Art Agency, which sources works for interior designers, architects, and corporate spaces
- Client proposals, catalogues, and bespoke features
Keeping your profile updated increases your chances of being selected for these opportunities.
E-Commerce Functionality: “Buy Now”
Our Buy Now feature allows collectors to purchase artworks instantly via our secure checkout system.
To qualify:
- The work must be unique or editioned
- It must only be listed on Latitudes
- It must be located in South Africa for logistics reasons
For all exhibitors plans, a 10% fee applies to cover admin and card processing. Please note:
- You are responsible for uploading accurate pricing
- Once listed, the artwork must be sold at the uploaded price
- All “Buy Now” works are reviewed for eligibility
Monthly & Bi-Annual Audits
- Exhibitors are expected to update or remove sold works regularly
- Latitudes conducts a bi-annual audit to maintain the quality of the site
- We reserve the right to disable inactive profiles with prior notice
Marketing and Promotions
We spotlight artists and exhibitors through internal curatorial selections, as well as newly uploaded works that include high-quality images. If you'd like to secure a feature, we offer the following paid promotional options, based on availability in our schedule and quality of the content:
- R2,000 (excl. VAT) – Single image grid post
- R2,400 (excl. VAT) – Carousel post
- R990 (excl. VAT) – Instagram & Facebook Story
