Lindokuhle Tshabalala’s Myth Reimagines series weaves together spiritual rebirth, mythic belief and historical storytelling. Three large - painted narratives summon figures who stand between belief and legend, prophecy and doubt.

City of Two Suns is a self- portrait . The artist dons bear fur, elephant tusks draped at the neck, and holds a holy grail. He wears the Mirrors of life, a hat said to show one's full life path, but those who glimpse their identity are warned to never speak of what they saw, or vanish. The work is rooted in Tshabalala’s short story of the same name: a return of the messiah, among skeptics and faithful, wondering the earth, blessing, resurrecting wonder.
