"Amathuba" is a image from an on going series titled "Ukuphila Nokufa" (To Live and Die) that reflects on life and death in black families, through capturing the incarnate cultural, spiritual, and social dimensions that shape our experience's and practices. I seek to portray the nuances of our existence and reveal how our traditions, beliefs and history influence our understanding of mortality.
