In this series of works the artist Nandipha Jantjies explores the disconnect between humanity and the natural world, and attempts to restore women to their rightful role of custodians and nurturers of the Earth symbolically and ancestrally in traditional lore. Her palette reflects the tones and feelings she wants audiences to connect with, along with the elevation of the female form and its centrality and wholeness.
