"Young girl with a flower ”

The work is created using acrylic paints on a traditional white and acid free stretched canvas and finished with a matt vanished for protection against potential damages. I employed layers of paints with pallette knife and brushes to build up the artwork and the impasto abstract patterns communicated the uncertainties of life. But also the the ability to navigate within those patches. The work was inspired by children and their innocence in the world we live in. I captured the essence of their beauty and the stillness they carry through their eyes. They beam with a sense of pride, joy and love. The flower represents hope, growth and new beginning.
