Rai Gandra
Rai Gandra is a Brazilian artist based in Rio de Janeiro. He graduated in Cinema and Audiovisual from the Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia (UFRB). Since then he has directed short films "Quando Rosa Virou Azul" and "Curriculum Vitae" that circulated Brazilian festivals such as CachoeiraDoc and Mix Brasil. Gandra has been the creator, organizer and curator of the "Mostra Universitária de curtas LGBT" – a short film festival – that in two editions circulates 8 Brazilian states and 1 exhibition in Germany. He was a producer in Janela LGBTQI + - Diversity festival with various artistic languages (music, theater, dance, visual arts and cinema), which had Marielle Franco as a jury member. Gandra is one of the authors of the book Bixinho in partnership with the German/South African publisher Iwalewabooks. The book portrays themes of love, desire and sex in Rio de Janeiro through photographs.
