Rhett Martyn
Rhett Martyn (b. 1971) lives, works and teaches in Johannesburg. He is an interdisciplinary mid-career artist and designer with over 30 years of experience and over ten solo exhibitions behind him. Over the years he has worked with various modes of representation in landscape and figurative traditions of sculpture drawing and painting, emphasizing a particular emotive and expressive response to these traditions. In many ways his work references, albeit subliminally, conditions which he perceives to be relevant to the socio/political landscape of South Africa. Rhett Martyn has aMasters in Fine Art (MAFA) from Wits University 2012.
