Capital Art x Soul Traveller Tours
By popular demand, Capital Art and Soul Traveller Tours are returning to Lagos, Nigeria, for its 2026 curated art and cultural tour, taking place from Tuesday, 3 November to Sunday, 8 November 2026, during the 11th edition of ART X Lagos.
West Africa’s premier international art fair, ART X Lagos brings together leading and emerging voices in contemporary and modern art from across Africa and the Diaspora. The curated trip offers collectors and art enthusiasts the opportunity to experience the fair alongside a wider programme of gallery visits, studio encounters, cultural experiences and opportunities to connect with collectors and members of the international art community.
Following the success of the 2025 Lagos curated trip, the 2026 programme has been developed in partnership with a range of collaborators to offer a deeper experience of Lagos through art, food, fashion and culture.

What to Expect
The curated programme will include a selection of visits, experiences and events throughout the trip, including:
A visit to ART X Lagos
Gallery visits
A visit to the Yemisi Shyllon Museum of Art
An artist studio visit
A collector visit
Opportunities to mingle and connect with international collectors
Selected events and meals
Transfers according to the trip schedule

Trip Costs and Payment Details
The cost of the curated trip is R45,000 (approximately USD 2,500) per person.
The trip cost covers the curated programme and experiences outlined above. Flights, visa or visa-on-arrival costs, accommodation, incidentals and personal transfers or taxis are not included. A restaurant list will be provided for participants who require recommendations for additional dining during their stay.
Participation must be confirmed by emailing hello@capitalart.co. Payment and settlement instructions will then be provided.
The payment schedule is as follows:
- 15% by 11 September 2026
- 60% by 25 September 2026
- 25% by 16 October 2026

Following confirmation of participation and the deposit deadline, participants will be advised of the preferred hotel and provided with the relevant booking procedures.
Flight Options
Participants are responsible for arranging their own flights to and from Lagos.
For the curated programme, participants should plan to arrive in Lagos on Tuesday, 3 November 2026, with return flights departing Lagos on Sunday, 8 November 2026.
Flight comparison platforms such as KAYAK can be used to explore available flight options.
Visa, Travel Insurance and Other Requirements
Participants are advised to verify current Nigerian visa and entry requirements with the relevant Nigerian embassy or consulate in their country of residence. Visa requirements can vary depending on nationality, and travel information should be confirmed through official sources before making arrangements.
Capital Art will assist participants with obtaining a visa or invitation letter or facilitate visa on arrival, which is highly recommended where applicable. The cost of the visa and any related services will be for the participant's own account. Further information regarding visa costs will be shared following payment of the deposit.
Participants should also ensure that they:
Have comprehensive travel insurance for the duration of the trip.
Hold a passport valid for at least six months from the date of arrival in Nigeria.
Have at least two blank pages available in their passport.
Carry proof of Yellow Fever vaccination, where required.
As visa and travel requirements can change, participants should confirm all requirements with the relevant authorities before travelling.
