Mankebe Seakgoe was born in Pietersburg, Limpopo and is currently based in Johannesburg. Working mainly using the medium of charcoal, her work questions conventional ways of communicating and understanding. With her unique text drawings and sculptures, Mankebe Seakgoe makes reference to Black thought and literature.
