Beatriz Manteigas (b. 1990, Lisbon) is a Portuguese visual artist, researcher and educator whose interdisciplinary, research-based practice explores cultural, social and ecological questions through drawing, collage, photography, installation and sound. Her work increasingly engages with ecology, permaculture, land and alternative ways of living, informed by her work at Quinta das Relvas, an ecological farm and arts organisation she co-founded in 2016.

Manteigas holds a PhD in Drawing from the University of Lisbon and has received support from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, FLAD and Culture Moves Europe. She has undertaken international residencies, including in Brazil and the Amazon rainforest, and presented solo exhibitions at institutions including Casa da Cerca – Contemporary Art Centre and the D. Luís I Foundation.
