Artwork
Carol-anne Gainer is a practicing contemporary artist and educator based in Cape Town, South Africa. Gainer exhibits regularly and widely, having participated in numerous prestigious residencies alongside having her work featured in several prominent public and private collections. Working across a diverse range of media, Gainer’s artistic production deeply explores our fragile, complex, and often ambiguous relationship with animals, nature, and ourselves. Her ongoing creative practice focuses on the profound spiritual and delicate connections we share with the earth, examining how these external environmental relationships are continuously affected and reflected within our physical bodies, forming a sustained, thoughtful investigation into our shared bio-spiritual ecology.
