Deidre is an avid visual artist with a profound, lifelong passion for oil on canvas and board painting. Deeply inspired by the masterly techniques of renowned English landscape painters, she explores bold, expansive brushstrokes to capture the core essence and living spirit of her subjects. Her artistic language balances classical influence with modern execution, breathing fresh energy into traditional themes.

As an impressionist at heart with a distinct romantic touch, Deidre skillfully utilizes palette knives to sculpt heavy layers of paint directly onto the surface. This technique allows her to evoke intricate details, rich textures, and dancing light without overworking the media. By carefully playing with contrasting colours, subtle gradients, and soft shades, she masterfully creates evocative moods and three-dimensional depth that draw viewers into her pieces. Her fluid artistic journey encompasses an exceptionally diverse range of subjects. From breathtaking landscapes and turbulent seascapes to captivating wildlife portraiture and emotional abstract pieces, her portfolio beautifully showcases her extensive technical versatility, vivid imagination, and limitless creativity.
