KulnZu (b.1998) is a multidisciplinary artist and scholar based in Nairobi, Kenya. With a B.A. in Africana Studies from Pomona College, Kuln'Zu is currently pursuing an MSc in African Studies at the University of Oxford.
Their work delves into queer urban cultural production, exploring the relationship between creative expression and the everyday movement of individuals within urban spaces. Through their art and research, KulnZu reimagines belongingwhether to the body, to place, or to each other. Their focus on afroqueer futurity challenges conventional notions of identity, envisioning queer futures and livable lives through a constellation of creative methods.
