Milani Mtshotshisa is a South African visual storyteller whose practice spans photography, fashion, and community-focused work. Born and raised in the Eastern Cape, Mtshotshisa approaches the camera as both an artistic tool and a means of service, preserving memory, dignity, and the everyday realities that shape her community.

Her work captures moments of quiet power – steaming pots, children at play, and landscapes framed through intimate perspectives – highlighting culture, survival, and belonging. Trained at the Durban University of Technology (National Diploma in Photography) and AFDA (Higher Certificate in Film, Entertainment, and Television), Mtshotshisa uses photography as a form of healing and dialogue, affirming resilience and giving voice to the often unseen.
