Mncedisi Mkhize (b. 1996, Pietermaritzburg) is a Durban-based visual artist whose practice centres on portraiture and figurative representation. He began his artistic training at the Tatham Art Gallery under the mentorship of Mrs Pinky Nkabinde before studying Fine Art and Design at Thekwini College. Mkhize later expanded his printmaking practice at Artist Proof Studio in Johannesburg. He has participated in various mural projects and group exhibitions, including presentations at KZNSA Gallery. His work explores the identities of Black people, particularly young people, within contemporary social environments, celebrating beauty, resilience, self-expression, and the complexities of everyday lived experiences and community narratives.
