Born in 1993 in Lagos, Nigeria, Musa Ganiyy is a painter, illustrator, designer, and photographer whose multidisciplinary practice explores identity, memory, satire, and social justice. Working across drawing, painting, and mixed media, he combines expressive colour, bold text, and figurative forms to examine contemporary African life, celebrating overlooked moments and the resilience of marginalized communities. A graduate of the University of Lagos (2014), his influences range from science fiction and comic books to urban Nigerian culture. Ganiyy has exhibited extensively across Africa and internationally, with solo exhibitions in Lagos, Abuja, and Abidjan, while also collaborating with fashion brands, musicians, and filmmakers.
