Pia Truscott is a Cape Town–based artist whose delicate blue drawings map the landscapes of memory and place. Departing from traditional cartography, her memory maps trace intimate geographies – moments like a snake in the garden, a crooked cypress tree, or fallen avocados – that evoke the sensory essence of the Karoo, Cederberg, and Cape Town’s surroundings. Each postcard-sized work becomes a love letter to place, blending nostalgia and playfulness while exploring how environment shapes belonging.
