Scelo Mdladla is an award-winning multidisciplinary artist whose work explores identity, culture, and contemporary South African Black expression through a refined conceptual visual language. Working across visual art, film, music, and cultural programming, his practice bridges disciplines to create immersive and socially engaged artistic experiences.
In 2014, he received the PROMAX DBA Africa Gold Award for excellence in short-form video production. His work has been featured in group exhibitions and gallery presentations, including Art On Sixth.
He is the founder of Phinda Mzala Music and co-founder of Grassfed Jazz, initiatives dedicated to building socially engaged and cross-cultural creative communities through music, visual arts, and collaborative cultural exchange.
