Candice Myataza (b. 1997, Cape Town, South Africa) is a visual artist whose practice explores self-awareness, human connection, and spirituality as pathways to meaning and liberation. A graduate of the University of Cape Town with a BA in Film, Anthropology, and Sociology, her multidisciplinary background informs her exploration of identity, culture, and the human experience.

Working primarily in acrylic, oil, and mixed media on canvas, Myataza creates symbolic, narrative-driven paintings that draw on personal experience, everyday life, and spiritual reflection. While her early work examined identity and belonging as a mixed-race South African, her practice has evolved to explore the shared experiences that unite humanity and encourage deeper connections with self, others, and God.

Myataza has exhibited widely across Cape Town, with works held in private collections, and continues to use her art as a space for reflection, storytelling, and spiritual inquiry.
