Bearing the future

Bearing the Future is inspired by the idea that every person carries an unseen potential waiting to be brought into the world. Using pregnancy as a metaphor, the sculpture reflects on the ideas, dreams, innovations, and possibilities that exist within each of us before they take form. The abstract figure adopts a squatting posture that references the physical act of giving birth—not as a literal depiction, but as a symbol of the effort, patience, and courage required to transform potential into reality. Through abstraction, the work invites viewers to consider what they themselves are carrying and what it might take to bring it into existence.
