For Me I & II are the first bronze figures of a series of work titled The Circle. They embrace the relationship between a mother and a daughter, highlighting the awareness of generational perspectives which infiltrate worldviews and over time, develop in their own light. Parents hold such power in shaping the cognitive processes of a young mind. I wanted to highlight the impact of guidance and choice in this quiet moment of reflection between the two bodies. Of late, I have come to notice there is much use of the phrase - for me. For me seems to highlight the spirit of the unique experience and progressed worldviews, a phrase which highlights individual experience and expressed with self-awareness from within.
