Day of resurrection ii , will we ever meet again.

Day of resurrection ii , will we ever meet again. (2026) Oil and acrylic on canvas In this work, resurrection is imagined through the uncertainty of reunion. A group of figures gather around a seated woman while music, movement and gestures of offering animate the scene. The drum and raised flame introduce elements of ceremony, while the surrounding water creates a sense of movement and transition. The question in the title shifts the painting from a celebration of return towards a meditation on absence: what does it mean to remember those who have left, and can ritual create a space in which separation is temporarily overcome? The work holds joy, grief and hope within the same moment.
