Moda Um Sonho #3

Taken from Queila Fernandes’ Lar series, developed during her 2018 residency at Catchupa Factory in Mindelo, Cape Verde, this work explores the meaning of home through memory, movement and belonging. The series grew from Queila’s experience of moving frequently between rented homes during her childhood, where permanent ownership was uncommon. This instability led her to question what makes a place feel like home. Through the series, Lar proposes home as something shaped by the people we love, the memories we carry and the spaces in which we experience safety, familiarity and belonging.
