Boytchie
Boytchie (aka Phillip Newman) was born in 2000 and grew up in Kuils River, South
Africa. He currently lives and works in Cape Town. Achieving merit awards for his
artistic aptitude from a young age, Newman matriculated in 2018 with summa cum
laude for visual arts. In 2022, Newman obtained his Bachelor of Arts Honours degree
(cum laude), majoring in painting and drawing at Stellenbosch University.
