Lesedi Ramushu is from Mpumalanga born in 1994 is an artist, printmaker and designer. Studied at the University of the Witwatersrand, completed degree in 2019. His work is about movement; movement of ideas, moving in and through places and moving with people. Having been raised on the road by parents who’s work made them move a lot, this created a space to always explore and a connect with new ideas. What influenced the artists most from an early age was road advertisements and billboards. These created a curiosity with the world and how anything framed a certain way can change perception. His work revolves around the theme of tribal bantu creative past, and his interests in space exploration. The ideas of movement are told within these two evolving themes.
