William Hindle

William Hindle is a contemporary urban photographer and aspiring architect whose work provides a unique perspective on South Africa's built and natural environments. Currently pursuing a Master’s in Architecture at the University of Johannesburg, Hindle brings an architect's eye to his photography practice. With over ten years of experience behind the lens, his work spans both analogue and digital formats, capturing striking images as a travel and documentary photographer.

Hindle’s talent has been recognized on the international stage. In 2013, he was selected as a finalist for the Children’s Eye’s On Earth International Photographic Competition, which took him to the final show in Azerbaijan. The following year, he was the recipient of the Peace is: Children’s Rights Photographic Competition Award and was also named a finalist in the prestigious RHS Garden Photographer of the Year competition. His photography thoughtfully documents some of the most unique architectural spaces and landscapes across South Africa.
