Sakhile Mhlongo (b.1984, Empangeni, South Africa) specializes in portraiture using acrylic and oil paint on fabric and canvas.
He seeks models to represent his interests and themes. Mhlongo graduated from Durban University of Technology with a National Diploma in Fine Art in 2015. He has participated in grand scale mural projects, including the Anton Lembede mural in the Durban inner city, the largest in KwaZulu-Natal.
His work has been acquired by the Durban Art Gallery and other private collectors. Over the years, Mhlongo has participated in numerous group exhibitions and national art competitions, and he was a top five finalist in the 2016 Sanlam Portrait Awards.
