Olaf Bisschoff

Olaf Bisschoff
Working mostly in oils, with technical finesse and intimate focus, this South-African born artist’s muse lies firmly with form and colour. The true edge in his work lies not in the mountains and skies of landscapes, but rather in the mind-set of the viewer. Bisschoff also works in the mediums of printmaking, animation and sculpture. The artist constantly innovates and applies new ideas, which can be seen in his use of found objects and the painted glass elements in his work. Mixing a wry sense of humour and irony into the work can be seen as comments on modern culture and life in general.
