Afimaa Amiteye

Afimaa was born in 1985 in Accra, Ghana. She completed a Bachelor of Fine Art Painting (Honours) in 2008 at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). She continued to obtain a Master’s in Fine Art Painting at KNUST in 2014. She currently lives and practices as an art educator and painter in Kumasi, Ghana.

Afimaa is interested in exploring colours in figurative painting. The previous group exhibition was MFA Painting on the theme, Collage as Metaphor: Exploring the hybridity of slums in Urban spaces, 2012 Gyinyasi, Kumasi.Her current exhibition experience is with Latitudes Curator Lab in 2023.
