The artist Claudie Titty Dimbeng, aka Dimbeng (1968) is a Paris-based, painter of Mixed Art Relief, a vector of transcultural dialogue. Dimbeng draws her inspiration from African spirituality, the place and role of women in society, the human impact on the planet, and she also deals with major current events, such as the death of African migrants in the Mediterranean, the murder of George Floyd or the Covid 19 pandemic. Born in Abidjan from an Ivorian father and a French Ivorian mother, she lived in Germany and Austria before moving to Paris where she studied Interior design at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts Modernes, (School of Modern Art) from 1987 to 1991. Since she decided to dedicate herself to painting in 1999, Dimbeng’s works were exhibited notably at the Quai Branly Museum in 2011 and at UNESCO headquarters where she represented the Ivory Coast in 2012. She exhibited her work for the first time in her home country in 2013 with her “Back to the Future” series at the Arts Pluriels Gallery in Abidjan. She further exhibited at the Sandnes Kino Kino Kultur Hus in Norway in 2015, at the Vilnius City Hall in Lithuania, at the Egg Art Studio Gallery in New Delhi, India in 2016, and FNB Joburg Art fair online in 2020. Her works are part of private collections in Europe, particularly in France, Lithuania and Austria, in Africa, Ivory Coast, Cameroon and South Africa, as well as in Canada and India. Dimbeng is a member of the International Association of Arts, IAA, a UNESCO partner.
