Candice Mouton was born in Namibia in 1998. She is a self taught painter and has a degree in Architecture from the Namibia University of Science and Technology. Her work reflects her formal training in architecture and spatial design, with a focus on portraying how space and cultural identity are intrinsically linked. She is passionate about visually communicating African ideas as well as the process of storytelling through visual art. In 2023 Mouton participated in her first formal exhibition with StArt Art Gallery, a two person show in which her work was exhibited alongside photography by Namafu Amutse.
