Veronica Amegatse (b. 1985) is a Ghanaian Fine Artist and textile designer based in Tema, Ghana. As a professional designer for Tex Styles Ghana Ltd, she has created numerous patterns for the renowned brands GTP and Woodin, establishing her expertise in the field.
As a fine artist, Amegatse's work is conceptually driven by her central theme of the ‘Skin Metaphor’. Through her art, she explores textile patterns as a form of covering, a marker of identity, and a powerful voice for communication. Her works are described as dynamic outbursts of self-realisation and an explosion of the textile patterns that form her unique visual language.
Amegatse has participated in printmaking workshops and has exhibited her work in group shows in Ghana, including at the Goethe-Institut in Accra (2010) and in the exhibition Monologue of Voices in Sekondi (2021).
