Veronica Amegatse
Veronica Amegatse (b.1985) is a Ghanian Fine Artist who lives in Tema, Ghana. Amegatse works as a textile designer for Tex Styles Ghana Ltd. She specialises in creating textile patterns printed onto fabric and has many prints by Tex Styles Ghana Ltd (GTP and Woodin) to her credit.
The central team for her works is ‘Skin Metaphor’, where she explores textile patterns as a covering, textile patterns as identity, and textile patterns as a voice for communication. Her works are outbursts of self-realisation and an explosion of textile patterns.
She joined a print-making workshop at the Art Haus (2010) and was part of a group exhibition and Goethe Institute, Accra Ghana (2010), and a group exhibition titled Monologue of voices in Sekondi, Ghana (2021)
