Dianna-Maria Somtochukwu Offor- Ugoji
Dianna-Maria Somtochukwu Offor- Ugoji (b.1999) is an Abstract and Expressionist painter born in Lagos, Nigeria currently living in Ireland. She recently just received her Higher Diploma Honours in Fine Art at the Burren College of Art, Ireland. She attended the University of Lagos, Nigeria (2021) graduating with a BA in Creative Arts in Textile design.
Dianna's style of painting is called Lyrical Abstraction where she explores the themes of colour and mark making, texture and surface, emotion and expression through storytelling. Her paintings are mesmerising and they evoke a spiritual response. “I seek to achieve some sort of connection between the audience and myself, my process is vulnerable and my experiences are open for everyone to see”- Dianna Offor.
She’s has participated in several group exhibitions including Things Left Unsaid, Affinity Gallery, Lagos, 2023, Meandering/Materiality at Burren College of Art, Ireland, 2023, Interlude, Burren College of Art (2024).
