Bontle Juku
Bontle Juku is a South African visual artist and photographer who is based in Johannesburg. Her work is influenced by her exploration of the past and present of the black African.
She explores narratives and sociopolitical discourse surrounding the black body and experience. Through her use of isolated composition, lighting, spirituality and emotive imagery she aims to create a diverse representation of blackness that move away from historical stereotypes.
