Betinho Mokwane
Born in Soweto, Gauteng in 1995, Mokwane completed his third year at Artist Proof Studio (APS) in 2019. Mokwane is an active member of the APS student body and has been involved in numerous corporate commissions – translating the medium of printmaking into relief carved large scale works.
With an interest in combination printing, Mokwane has extended his skillset into a range of designs that he silkscreens onto t-shirts as a side-line business. Mokwane has exhibited with the APS in collaboration with Strauss & Co at the Turbine Art Fair (2018/19), the Legacy exhibition (2019) as well as at the recent TAF Art Fair (2021). He was awarded the Ubuntu Student Award in 2020 - nominated by APS staff and students.
He is currently enrolled in the Senior Graduate programme and is completing an internship across the Education and Marketing units at APS.
