Méné

Méné (b. 1977, Ivory Coast) is a dedicated artist and Professor of Fine Arts who lives and works in his homeland. A graduate of the National Institute of Arts and Cultural Action of Abidjan, Méné has pursued his artistic path with talent and tenacity for over twenty years, presenting his works globally—from Abidjan to Paris, Luxembourg to Dakar, and Spain. Despite his international success, he remains humble and unassuming.
Méné's art is characterized by its focus on human beings, both individually and in groups, often accompanied by elements like a red animal, a beast with horns, the sun, or a hut. His work examines human nature in all its facets, presented in deceptively simple, child-like silhouettes that convey both the freshness of youth and the depth of adult experience. His subjects often smile or show subtle emotions, depicted affectionately in pairs or groups, highlighting the effervescence of youth and the pursuit of life's meaning.
