Embark on a visual journey through my reportage drawing series capturing the dynamic
essence of the City of Gold during the Urban Sketchers mini-symposium held on September
9-10, 2022. These drawings offer my unique perspective on the intricate layers of
Johannesburg, exploring the juxtaposition of its historical and contemporary facets. Sketches
were made on location in Marshalltown and Rosebank in Johannesburg, reliving the moments
and stories woven into the urban fabric as I translate the vibrant energy of Johannesburg.
