Chloë Reid
Chloë Reid (b. 1989, Johannesburg) is an artist, writer and curator whose research interests include everyday sociology and the relationship between reading, writing and artistic practice. She is trained as a printmaker and regularly works in painting and drawing as well as narrative forms of writing, audio and video. She holds a BFA from the Michaelis School of Fine Art, Cape Town (2011), an MFA from The Glasgow School of Art (2017) and was awarded a yearlong fellowship at the Glasgow Sculpture Studios in 2018. She has exhibited and curated locally and internationally and is currently working on her third collection of very short stories. She lives in Johannesburg, where she develops collaborative curatorial projects under the name 'gallery, gallery' and writes for artists, alongside her own artistic practice. She also recently co-founded 'wherewithall' along with Kundai Moyo and Amy Watson, which is an online database of equipment, practical knowledge and research into independent curatorial practices in South Africa.
