Mary Holland
Mary Holland graduated with a BA Fine Arts Degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1993 (with Distinction) She exhibited on various group exhibitions like Taking Stock, at the Old Stock Trading floor doing a performance art piece with Brian Webber, under the auspices of the French Institute, at the time of the 2nd Johannesburg Biennale curated by Marco Cianfinelli, Andrea Burgener and Luan Nel. She has exhibited in mainly in the United Kingdom, where she lived for eight years and in South Africa, after she returned to the country. She has held multiple solo exhibitions, mainly through Dawid Ras Gallery in Sandton, South Africa. She was given a posthumous exhibition of her last body of work (Highveld winter landscapes) at Nel Gallery in Cape Town in 2020.
