Ferial Mohamed is a former attorney and a self-taught artist and writer who uses the intersection between language and visual art as a device for storytelling, in the context of decoloniality and discourse on identity. She had her debut exhibition, in a group exhibition titled “Memoir” at Deepest Darkest art gallery, in de Waterkant Cape Town.
She has a Masters in Creative Writing from the University of Cape Town, and her debut novel is being published by a South African publisher in 2022.
