Cheriese Dilrajh

Cheriese Dilrajh
Born in the coastal town of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa (1997), Cheriese Dilrajh is an artist, writer, and researcher who believes in the Indian Ocean as a world of possibilities shared between African and Indian lands. She enjoys the way the sunset appears to be a Sahara of hues in-between the colour spectrum of pink and blues, and thinks about radical daydreaming under non-linear time. Her formal education is a BA Fine Arts from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, and has recently completed an MA in Art and Politics at Goldsmiths, although her more legitimate knowledge comes from the streets. While exploring migration, belonging, decoloniality, and radical occupation, Dilrajh’s interests extend into alternative ways of invoking the political through cross-disciplinary modes of thinking.
