"Kgomo Tsaka Deile Kae" (Where are my cows? Translated from English) is a series of photographs I produced inspired by the song of the same name by the South African band Marumo. This band was led by my grandfather's cousin, John Mothopeng. I tried to visually represent the song, which describes colonialism and land dispossession in South Africa. Furthermore, the band members were blind musicians and expressed the despair of physically being unable to see land.
