Art has become this medium of an instrument or a tool to say in which I could offer to the
universe, hence I always refer to the works as offerings.I am fascinated with the idea of
memory that is through our existence the universe is expressing itself, and that maybe
this cosmic play of hide and seek is the Devine rediscovering itself in actuality. It is
through this lense and sense of wonder in the unknown that I narrate this fluid-like
Journey which is life and ever in constant flow.My work explores the human experience
and journey encompassing themes of Spirituality, Mythology, Identity, African folktales,
and the feminine symbol the mother the healer and creator and it is through my life
experiences I seek to evoke the nakedness of truth not subjected to one but all through
painting, drawing, and in the near future sculpting, photography and videography (film).
In most of my works I use this natural fibre called raffia which serves as a string (pun
intended) or waves of dialogue between my consciousness and subconscious mind this
cyclical nature of existence.
