Her body of work attempts to capture the honesty, vulnerability, and raw beauty of moments that emerge when individuals enter a state of ‘otherness’ and aims to incite answers to the questions that the subjects’ expressions and demeanour pose, and by doing so, invites the viewer to step into a state of otherness as well.
Michelle further abstracts these moments, ideas and themes that emerge from her photography into her paintings and drawings.
She is also the founder and creative director of Studio Co, a specialised design studio and consultancy who works with brands across the globe.
