Bronwyn Davis
Aspiring artist and curator of creative experience, Bronwyn Davis (they/she) took their first breath in the loving arms of Colleen (then nurse) and Ross Davis (then teacher) in August of 2001, cradled in the city of Johannesburg.
A painter, printmaker, and coder by training, (and strong believer of freeing the nipple, equity and socialism and general social chaos), Bronwyn is currently a 4TH Year Fine Arts and Sociology student at the University of Witwatersrand.
Their creative practice switches between the figurative andthe abstract; between the underlying hierarchical fabrics of society, to the escapism of sentimental beauty; to the debinarized forms of politicized self-expression and using figurative representation of the female body in order to reposition it within our sociological imagination.
